Under Construction

I have not posted for a while but that doesn't mean that I have given up on blogging. I've just been so lucky to be living real life in Kansas City that I didn't have time to write it down.

There's a lot of great things going on in Kansas City and sometimes it's hard to take them all in. It's not all carjackings and murders. This town is home to great people like my family and friends, that's always been the thing I love about Kansas City - The people are kind and this is where I keep all my stuff.

All things considered, Kansas City is pretty sweet and if the sun ever comes out I'll have even more nice things to say.

Sunday is family day

I was so happy to see all of my family again yesterday. Sunday is the day we've met up since I was a little kid. There's lots of food, laughing and remembering. It makes me realize that not everyone is as lucky as I am to have so many people that they can call on if they ever needed somebody.

My cousins and I played basketball. For the first time I realized that I wasn't one of the little kids anymore. Maybe because one of the little ones screamed "That's no fair" when I was picked for a team. I have to admit that I'm taller than them all so there's an advantage.

Of course my team won but everybody was happy at the end the day still. I had a chance to spend a few moments with my grandmother at the end of the day. She told me that all of my cousins were proud of me and looked up to me. It was one of the best things I've ever heard.

Yes, it was a good day.

It was a good day

My favorite weather man says the weather will get bad tomorrow. I hope there is no ice.

Because I knew that weather might change I went outside today and decided to go jogging. I went to Mill Creek Park. It's not my usual route but I like the way it looks as the sun is setting. I only wish there were more hills.

Everyone seemed to be in a nice mood today and I even had a few strangers ask me if I wanted to play frisbee. I would have but my girlfriend was waiting.

I can tell that people can't wait for spring to come. It seems like it's taking a long time but I have a feeling it will be worth the wait. Springtime is my favorite season in Kansas City because people are excited just to be outdoors and there is not as much heat as summer.

Oh well, I can already tell the air is getting colder. I think there are just a few more days of winter so I'll try to enjoy them and maybe wear the sweater my girlfriend bought me for Christmas. It's not too late, it is never too late. That's what the seasons changing and Springtime always remind me: That we all can change if we want to or if we work hard enough.

Not another Kansas City Blog

My friend Tony has a great Kansas City blog and I know mine doesn't compare. But I want to try and work on my writing more. I think this is a good way to start out so from time to time I'm going to try and blog my thoughts on all kind of things that are happening in Kansas City and in my life. I'm really not interested in the news much but I do have some ideas that I'd like to share.

My family came to Kansas City when I was only 3 years old. I'm from North of the River. I've had a chance to travel and I still think Kansas City is one of the best places in the country and not just because of barbecue. All of my family live in Kansas City and I love them very much. English isn't my first language if you can tell but I do speak it fluently and I even managed to graduate from college barely.

Right now I work at a Kansas City bank branch but that's not the more important thing about me. I think the thing that's even more important than that I'm a big fan of Fat Joe and The Killers which is probably because I live in Kansas City and we have all kinds of styles that are popular here and there's room for them all.

I hope you enjoy this blog!
